Thank you for your interest in the residency program in neurosurgery at Northwell Health. The goal of our residency program is to meet the demands of a changing health care environment. Our residents have the aptitude and desire to become full-time academic neurosurgeons.

The Northwell Health neurosurgical residency is an academic program located at three hospitals, and with a significant research component. Trainees are exposed to a diverse caseload and an intense and rewarding educational experience. The ongoing development of the Neurosciences Institute promises continued advancement in training both from the clinical and research standpoints.

Our Department of Neurosurgery has a large full-time faculty representing a wide range of interests and backgrounds. These include state-of-the-art clinical care, as well as translational and basic research programs. We consider the training of academic neurosurgeons a responsibility and our contribution to the vitality and advancement of our discipline.

Residents rotate through four sites during training:

Neuroscience Institute
