Through partnerships with clinical services and laboratories within the health system and externally, the department focuses its research efforts on health services programs and early and late phase clinical trials.

Some of our faculty’s research interests include: psoriasis, lupus, melanoma, non-melanoma skin cancers, acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis. For more details and to find clinical trials, visit the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research.

With mentorship, residents are encouraged to generate new knowledge that will contribute to their professional development and to the specialty of dermatology. Opportunity to participate in research and scholarship is always available. For residents with a strong research interest and an apparent commitment to a career in academia, it is possible to design an individualized training track that meets specific research goals.
