North Shore University Hospital recognizes the importance of offering grand rounds, case conferences, and other CME-accredited regularly scheduled series (RSS). These conferences are a key teaching tool and are used to further educate physicians, nurse/nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, fellows and other clinicians. These conferences are held on an ongoing basis and are open to anyone who wants to attend.

MS 3 Selective Rotations
Selective rotations are scheduled for Zucker SOM Students that have a special interest in Neurosurgery, and would like to spend some additional time prior to their formal MS4 rotation year on the service. A preceptor is assigned to the student according to the student’s interest in a neurosurgical subspecialty, offering guidance throughout this two-week rotation. Selective rotations are scheduled by contacting Josefa Forcina ([email protected]).
Elective Rotations and Sub Internship Rotations
Elective rotations are offered to visiting students in addition to students from the Zucker School of Medicine. All Zucker School of Medicine Students are scheduled for rotations by contacting Josefa Forcina ([email protected]).
Visiting students attending US LCME Accredited Medical Schools and participating Osteopathic Medical Schools are required to submit their elective rotation requests through AAMC Visiting Student Application Service (VSAS) at https://students-residents.aamc.org/attending-medical-school/article/visiting-student-learning-opportunities. We do not accept students from Off-Shore/Foreign Medical Schools.
