Residency programs

Northwell Health Imaging offers three residency training programs. Each residency program requires a one-year ACGME-accredited internship prior to the four-year radiology residency.

The Department of Radiology at Lenox Hill Hospital offers an ACGME-accredited graduate training program in diagnostic radiology. Candidates are required to have five years of approved training with a minimum of four years in diagnostic radiology. The other year must be ACGME-accredited education in internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery or a surgical subspecialty, OB/GYN, neurology, family practice, emergency medicine or any combination of these.
The Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Staten Island University Hospital offers a comprehensive curriculum for all radiology subspecialties.
The Residency in Diagnostic Radiology at North Shore University Hospital & Long Island Jewish Medical Center (NS/LIJ) offers an outstanding four year residency training program in an extremely friendly and supportive environment.

Fellowship programs

Northwell Health Imaging offers five fellowship training programs in various areas of radiology. Trainees must have completed an ACGME-accredited diagnostic radiology residency training program and be either licensed in New York state or eligible for a license.

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Northwell Health offers a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship in neuroradiology. This program provides clinical and research training in a closely supervised setting.

The Department of Radiology at Northwell Health offers a fellowship training program in musculoskeletal radiology. This program is designed to give clinicians with prior residency training in diagnostic radiology advanced education in all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging.
The Department of Radiology at Northwell Health offers a fellowship training program in pediatric radiology. This program is designed to give clinicians with prior residency training in diagnostic radiology advanced education in delivering exceptional care to infants, children and adolescents.
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology at Northwell Health offers a one-year fellowship training program in body imaging, which includes body, breast, musculoskeletal imaging and interventional techniques. The department uses state-of-the-art ultrasound, CT and MRI equipment and provides imaging support for nine hospitals in the health system, as well as six outpatient facilities.
